Escape the Madness!

I have four little monkies in my house. Three of those monkies are boys. For other moms of boys, you know how exciting that can be sometimes! Exciting! (Do you hear the quasi-sarcasm?) The lightsaber duels and wrestling matches, bloody noses, bruises, jumping off of furniture...fart jokes or throwing and kicking balls in the house. It's an endless battle. Really. If you're lucky enough to have a calm moment, you'll probably step on a Lego anyway.

My last little princess monkey just turned two... so although I adore her, she's two.

Dear husband and I work opposite shifts, and I am Manager of day shift. At 7:30 am, everybody is up... breakfast, getting dressed. By 8:30 am, the three boys are dropped off at school. Amber and I come back home and have breakfast, watch some Dora the Explorer, check email, Facebook, homework (yes, my homework!) and maybe do some laundry and talk about how "cute" and "funny" Amber is. At 11:20 we pick Nathan up from Kindergarten, and come back home and have lunch. Then Amber takes a nap (and sometimes mommy snoozes on the couch). 2:30 pm, we pick up the other boys from school, and come home so that mommy can get ready for work. Dad picks up night shift at 3:30.

But then, the light at the end of the tunnel! Here's my break: work. LOL Anyone else relate? It really is my break of the mommy madness. I do occasionally get a late dinner after work with my coworker friends. Otherwise, my breaks have to consist of short spurts of time I find to blog or spy on Facebook, make a phone call to my sister, a text to my best friend. You know, until you hear "Mommy!!!"...

But man, I love my life... and I love my kids <3
